I am seeking re-election to the Kennesaw City Council, Post 5, and I appreciate the opportunity to share with you a bit about my personal background and what I stand for.
My wife of more than 20 years, Aundie, and my two children, Abbie and Patrick, and I have lived in Kennesaw since 2002 and we are proud to have been active members of the community in many ways. From owning and managing a business to being a strong leader in my church, to more recently, being elected and serving a term as your City Councilman, I have a heart for working for the betterment of this community for the benefit of all.
My core values guide how I make decisions and how I have represented you over the last four years. I believe that:
Family is first
Integrity is earned
Honesty is a must
Humility is given
Faith in God is my guide
I tackle the issues logically by gathering all the facts (good and bad) and weighing the pros and cons and the effects it will have on our citizens both now and in the future. Leadership is not making a snap decision based on emotion, nor is it delaying the decision because of fear. It requires common sense, sound judgment, and experience. We are more likely to make the correct decision when we have all the facts and that is my approach on each issue that comes before the Council. Working together with the Council, the Mayor, and the various departments of the city has given me a great appreciation for the quality personnel working in our community and I’m happy to have been a part of those working to continuously improve for the benefit of all of our citizens.
I have enjoyed serving the people of Kennesaw, I remain conscious of the needs of the community and I will continue to work diligently to accomplish the goals that the Council has established to make this the best community in which to live, work, play, and worship. I am grateful for the opportunity to have served our citizens for the last four years and hope you will give me the chance to continue serving you all.
